1. Use the right shampoo

. People often choose the wrong hair products for their needs and that may well be why you keep suffering from dandruff. While the main way to finding the right shampoo or treatment is definitely to consult a physician that will identify your hair problem, it’s worth noting that many professionals recommend the use of Ketoconazole solutions to treat dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis conditions. Ketoconazole is an active ingredient dermatologically tested that works by treating the underlying cause of dandruff, by restoring your scalp back to its normal healthy state. 

2. Hydrate your hair

Hydrating hair longer helps hair follicles getting minerals and moisturize the scalp.

Statistics show we only spend 3 minutes on average washing our hair (including rinsing).  As a result, the scalp and hair tend to become dry, leading to dandruff. While it is generally recommended to leave sit the shampoo for 3 to 5 minutes, it is also good to take more time when rinsing the hair (2 minutes), as water provides minerals and hydrates the scalp and hair. That’s one of the reasons why, many hairdressers rinse your hair twice so that it’s more hydrated, softer and cleared off from residues and dandruff.  Tip: If you use a hair dryer, set it on cool so that it doesn’t dry your hair out. A good habit to add into your hair grooming daily routine is using a gentle hairbrush to promote circulation, stimulating hair follicles. 

3. Slow Down on Styling products

Hair styling products help you look good, but it often comes with downsides, and it’s your hair that will pay for it. Keep in mind that overuse of styling products can lead to scalp irritation and clogging, due to chemical ingredients that are often the main components for these kinds of products, which will produce dandruff. Also, try to find salons that care more about your hair care than just style. For example, listen carefully when hair professionals advise to wait between treatments.  

4. Fuel your hair from within

Eating organic fruits and vegetables helps nourish the hair from within.

A balanced diet is the key to promoting healthy, shinny and dandruff-free hair. For example, an effective diet includes eating organic grown fruits and fiber, as well as getting foods loaded in Vitamin B complex and omega 3 fatty acids.
