Multivitamin supplements like Berocca may reduce breast cancer risks, scientists claim. New study shows link between multivitamin intake and breast cancer mortality

Nov 4, 2013

According to a new study published in Breast Cancer Research and Treatment, women with breast cancer who took multivitamin-mineral supplements showed a 30% decrease in death rate. Authors analysed a group of 7,728 aged from 50 to 79 with breast cancer condition and compared multivitamin intake with cancer mortality.

While scientists pointed out that there is no direct cause and relationship effect between multivitamin-mineral use and breast cancer’s death reduction, they did report that there is an association between multivitamin supplements and reduced breast cancer mortality. In other words, scientists tell us it’s not a definite medical treatment, but taking multivitamins may lower breast cancer risk.
